The Polyanski family.

  • The Family of Stanislovas John Polyanski
The following information was found in the online church records and translated from Russian script by Osvaldas Guokas. The family surname as written in the records was either Palujanskas or Palijanskas. Osvaldas attributed this to the Northern Lithuanian dialect and the fact that names were meant to be spoken and not written. (I supplied the names of the spouses and children of those that emigrated. )
During this period the Russian government forbade the use of a written Lithuanian language. The Guokas family comes into the tree with mother of the wife of Joseph Anthony Polyanski, Anastazia Radauskas, Agota Guokas.
